Rice's Connect is an internal application for employees of Rice's Pharmacy (Rice Drugs, Beaver Dam, Kentucky). It is not offered to the public, and it cannot be used without a Rice's work account.
Who you are. Your name and work email address, from your Rice's Microsoft account when you sign in. The app never sees or stores your password — sign-in happens with Microsoft directly.
When you clock in and out. The time of each punch, which workstation tag you tapped, and which store it belongs to.
Where you were when you punched. Your device's location at the moment you clock in or out, and only then. It is used to confirm the punch happened at the pharmacy. The app does not track your location at any other time, does not run in the background, and does not keep a history of your movements.
Which build you are running. Your app version, device model and operating system version, so support can tell what is installed when something goes wrong.
Your schedule, hours, pay-related records, training, documents, recognition, and a directory of your coworkers including their work contact details. This information comes from Rice's own systems and is shown to you because you work here. It is not collected by the app.
Location. To confirm a clock-in or clock-out happened at the pharmacy. Read only at that moment.
NFC. To read the workstation tag you tap to clock in.
Internet and network state. To reach Rice's systems, and to hold punches safely on the device until the connection returns.
Vibration. To confirm a tag was read, when the phone is against the tag and out of sight.
Biometric. Declared for a sign-in feature that is not currently in use. The app does not read your fingerprint or face.
Data is sent to Rice's own servers and is not shared with third parties except the services that make the app work: Microsoft for sign-in, and Bonusly for the recognition and rewards feed. Your managers and HR see your time records, as they would with any time clock. Recognition you send or receive is visible to coworkers, as it is in any recognition feed.
Time and pay records are retained as long as employment and payroll law requires. Other records are kept while you work here and for as long afterwards as our records policy requires.
You can decline the location permission and still clock in — the punch is recorded and flagged for your manager to confirm, rather than refused. To ask what is held about you, or to have something corrected, speak to HR.
